Appeal to the United Nations for Protection of Indian Muslims and Action Against Hate Crimes

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of millions of Indian Muslims to raise a grave concern regarding the ongoing insults against Islam and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as well as the increasing persecution and marginalization of Muslims across India.

In recent years, extremist elements—particularly those linked to Hindutva groups and certain Hindu organizations—have been openly spreading hatred, mocking Islamic beliefs, and instigating violence against Muslims. These actions, which directly threaten the peace and unity of our nation, continue unchecked. What is even more alarming is that instead of holding the real offenders accountable, authorities often target the victims—Muslims themselves—creating an atmosphere of fear and helplessness.

This systematic discrimination has led to a severe erosion of trust in law enforcement and a sense of alienation among Indian Muslims. The right to freedom of religion and belief, guaranteed by Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is being violated daily, as Muslims face intimidation, harassment, and exclusion for merely practicing their faith.

We urgently call upon the United Nations and the international community to:

1. Investigate the growing incidents of hate speech and violence against Muslims in India.

2. Hold accountable those spreading religious hatred and violating international human rights norms.

3. Urge the Indian Government to ensure equal protection, justice, and safety for all its citizens, regardless of religion.

4. Monitor and report on the condition of minority rights and freedom of religion in India.

Your intervention and acknowledgment will not only bring international attention to this critical issue but will also offer hope to millions of Indian Muslims who yearn for justice, equality, and dignity.

We humbly request you to stand with us and take immediate, effective action to safeguard the human rights of Indian Muslims and to uphold the universal principles of peace and justice.

Your support can help restore faith in justice and ensure a safer, more inclusive future for all communities in India.

Sign this petition to raise your voice for justice, equality, and peace.

Sincerely,
