Subject: Request for the Nomination of Shri Manjunath Bhimappa Sunagar as MLC in Recognition of His Dedicated Social Service, Organizational Leadership, and Commitment Towards Fishermen Communities and Public Welfare

 

Respected Leaders,

We, the citizens, social workers, youth representatives, fishermen communities, Congress party supporters, and well-wishers from various parts of Karnataka, humbly submit this public petition requesting the honorable leadership of the Indian National Congress and the Government of Karnataka to kindly nominate Shri Manjunath Bhimappa Sunagar as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council (MLC).

 

Shri Manjunath B. Sunagar is presently serving as the State President of the KPCC Fishermen’s Wing and also as the Karnataka State President of the National Fishermen’s Association. For several years, he has continuously worked with dedication and honesty for the welfare, social justice, empowerment, and political representation of fishermen communities across Karnataka.

 

The Indian National Congress has always stood for the upliftment of backward, oppressed, and marginalized communities. Inspired by the ideology and leadership of the Congress party, Shri Manjunath Sunagar has devoted his life to grassroots public service and strengthening the voice of weaker sections of society.

Born in Mulagund of Gadag district and raised with strong social values, Shri Manjunath Sunagar has emerged as a committed grassroots leader who understands the struggles of ordinary people. As the State President of the KPCC Fishermen’s Wing, he has actively organized awareness programs, consultations, public meetings, struggles, and outreach initiatives to highlight the issues faced by coastal and inland fishermen communities in Karnataka.
