Yesterday, the MB has announced a 30% discount on the assessment for 2024. For me, it works out effectively to a tax rate of 0.056% instead of 0.08% of valuation. This is very close to what the petition requested of 0.05%. So overall, this is a good outcome. We will see whether the 30% discount will be extended to 2025. Most likely, they will reduce the discount % progressively over 3 years. In the meantime, thank you for supporting the petition. Your voice was heard.
