We had placed our trust, life savings, and hopes into this project, but today, we stand broken and betrayed.
The flat we were promised would be delivered over a decade ago remains a distant dream. For many of us, this investment was not just a financial decision but a step toward securing our families' futures. The repercussions of this delay are devastating and far-reaching:
1. Financial Hardships:
Many buyers are burdened with the dual financial strain of paying EMIs for the undelivered flats while also managing monthly rents for alternative accommodations. This has severely impacted the financial stability of countless families.
2. Impact on Senior Citizens and Families of Deceased Buyers:
Retired individuals who invested their life savings to secure a home for their golden years are now forced to live in uncertainty. Heartbreakingly, some buyers have passed away during this excruciating wait, leaving their families grappling with both emotional and financial distress. Their loved ones continue to bear the weight of the EMIs without any hope of relief.
3. Erosion of Trust and Mental Health:
The delay has not only caused financial turmoil but also mental anguish. Families who dreamed of stability and security are now struggling with anxiety and despair.
We, the affected homebuyers, humbly request your intervention to address this issue with urgency. It is our plea that:
Immediate action be taken against Ramprastha Builders to hold them accountable for their commitments.
A concrete timeline for project completion be enforced to ensure timely possession of flats.
Compensation or relief measures be considered to alleviate the financial burden on the buyers. Please note we have already filed a number legal cases across different courts and in some cases these have been going on since last 8+ years while in other cases judgements have been passed but not executed by enforcement authorities.
