Dear all, It's been close to 3 weeks since the sentencing of the inhumane abusers. The couple have decided not to appeal against their sentence. While we still feel that the sentencing is grossly inadequate, let's all not let hatred skew our judgements. We would all want a legal system which can met out the harshest punishment to those who deserve it. However, we are only able to voice out our thoughts. To interfere in the judgements of the legal system is not within our reach. I would not call this petition a success or failure. This petition should be a reminder that there are abusers like that couple who exploit the vulnerable without any sign of remorse. I would like all of us to play a part. If you suspect anyone facing such a horrendous situation, please inform the relevant authorities such as the police. We would rather it be a false alarm then let a victim going through such a terrible ordeal go unnoticed. There should not be a second Annie Ee who suffered such a long and lonely death. Thank you all once again who signed this petition which helped emphasise on the gravity of this tragic incident .
