Como residentes de Bocas del Toro, hemos visto cómo un pequeño grupo de habitantes ha impuesto su voluntad para evitar la llegada de nuevos residentes y turistas a nuestra hermosa isla. Esta actitud ha resultado en un estancamiento económico y ha obstaculizado la promoción de nuestra rica cultura por unos pocos extranjeros. Pero queremos cambiar eso. Deseamos promover el desarrollo social a través del turismo y la organización de eventos multidisciplinarios con artistas globales. Creemos firmemente que el desarrollo de eventos de alcance global como AD SIDERA SEMPER y la llegada de artistas reconocidos aumentará el atractivo de Bocas del Toro para visitantes internacionales, impulsará la economía local y resaltará nuestra cultura. Este evento a dado apoyo a la comunidad en épocas complejas (post pandemia en 2022 y previa al cierre de rutas por las protestas sociales de 2023). Eventos con esta producción y seriedad atraerán a más visitantes a nuestros hoteles, restaurantes y tiendas locales, lo que permitirá a nuestra economía crecer y prosperar siendo eco-amigables, atrayendo a una audiencia que valora tanto la diversidad artística como la sostenibilidad medioambiental. Esperamos que, a través de estas iniciativas, Bocas del Toro se convierta en un destino turístico sostenible como ha sido casos de México con (ONDALINDA), St Marteen (SMX), Costa Rica que mediante eventos (BPM, OCASO, ENVISSION) han visto crecer el bienestar de miles de familias. As residents of Bocas del Toro, we have seen how a small group of people have imposed their will to prevent the arrival of new residents and tourists to our beautiful island. This attitude has resulted in economic stagnation and has hindered the promotion of our rich culture by a few foreigners whose only investment is the construction of their houses on land with possessory rights, which do not even pay taxes in Panama. But we want to change that. We wish to promote social development through tourism and the organization of multidisciplinary events with global artists. We firmly believe that the development of global events such as AD SIDERA SEMPER and the arrival of renowned artists will increase the attractiveness of Bocas del Toro for international visitors, boost the local economy and highlight our culture. This event has supported the community in complex times (post pandemic in 2022 and prior to the closure of roads due to social protests in 2023). Events with this production and seriousness will attract more visitors to our local hotels, restaurants and shops, allowing our economy to grow and prosper by being eco-friendly, attracting an audience that values ​​both artistic diversity and environmental sustainability.
