
Thank you all for signing my petition to bring accountability and transparency to the ongoing utility billing issue plaguing town residents. Today, WTVD will air a follow-up story in the 4:30 p.m. newscast and then again at 5:30 p.m. I hope you will watch.
Like you, I am hoping for answers regarding why a public hearing has not been held to better engage and inform customers; why an audit has not yet begun; why this issue is not regularly updated at council meetings; what steps the Town has taken to ensure customers' bank accounts are never again "wiped out" by an incorrect Town autodraft; how to improve customer service; a full accounting of what other town services were impacted and how; and what steps are being taken to limit another devastating cyber attack.
Also, I plan to address the Town Council regarding this issue at the December 10 meeting. I hope you will join me in person so that our voices may be heard. In the meantime, please continue to share the petition. Thank you!
