Exposición de motivos

La Ley 7/2023, de 28 de marzo establece que las administraciones públicas deben promover políticas y medidas que garanticen el bienestar de los animales, particularmente aquellos que están bajo custodia pública. 

La ley también subraya la obligación de que estos animales reciban cuidados adecuados tanto para su bienestar físico como psicológico.

En este contexto, los abajo firmantes solicitamos la reapertura diaria al público y al voluntariado de la Perrera Municipal de Mogán como medida necesaria para garantizar el cumplimiento, gestión ética y transparente de estas disposiciones legales. 

Este enfoque colaborativo permitirá aumentar las oportunidades de adopción, reducir el estrés por confinamiento, promover la socialización mediante hábitos de paseos e interacción con humanos; en definitiva: mejorar su calidad de vida.

Creemos que, trabajando juntos, podemos garantizar mejores cuidados, fomentar adopciones responsables y crear todo un ejemplo, dentro y fuera del municipio de Mogán, de comunidad también comprometida con el Bienestar Animal.

PROPOSAL FOR THE RE-OPENING OF MOGAN’S MUNICIPAL DOG SHELTER TO THE VOLUNTEERS

Statement of purpose

Law 7/2023, of March 28th, establishes that public administrations must promote policies and measures that ensure the welfare of animals, particularly those under public custody. 

The law emphasizes the obligation to provide these animals with proper care, both for their physical and psychological well-being.

In this context, the undersigned request the daily re-opening of Mogán's municipal dog shelter to the public and volunteers as a necessary measure to ensure the compliance with these ethical legal provisions and in a transparent manner.

This collaborative approach will create adoption opportunities of the dogs, reduce their stress from current confinement and promote their socialization through interaction with humans and walking habits. In a nutshell, it will provide a much-needed improvement to the quality of life of these dogs.

We believe that, by working together, we can ensure better care of these dogs, promote responsible adoptions of them and in doing so, set an example, both inside and out of Mogán's municipality, of a community also responsibly committed to Animal Welfare.
