We like to be aprised of the latest going on, but it's taking far too long to even read the Welcome Page now. There is an annoying ad on every article you want to read. Many repeat stories also, with maybe just a title change. We have to watch another ad before we get to the story, only to find out we've already read it. Occasionally an item you open and it has nothing to do with the title whatsoever. Even TV has regulated the volume on the ads, and some of the ads on the Welcome Page blast you right out of your chair. (Toyota for one) And then, you have an ad in an ad that you have to click off the screen before proceeding.
Please give us an option to skip these ads. Especially for those of us that still pay for our AOL service just for the extra amenities. I don't consider advertising an amenity and I sure don't want to pay for them.
