We are being sued by the HOA attorney of Canopy Oaks to have our Pit-bull Charlie removed within 10 days for being a “danger to the neighborhood”. There has only been two instances with the same dog. Both times Charlie was on a leash and on our property and the other dog was not. They rallied against us, went door to door and told people that our dog used to be in dog fights which isn’t true. He was used as a bait dog in dog fights as a puppy to get the other dogs rattled up, he was severely abused. He finally has a home where he is safe and loved, he is basically my sisters emotional support dog. There is a stigma about pit bulls that they are vicious and aggressive (both words used to describe my dog in the email from the attorney) that people can’t shake. This is unfair and absolutely ludicrous. Please sign this if you agree.
