my school barrow arts and science academy ( BASA ) has been treating lgbt students different. for example, they punish us for easier than cishet classmates. they ignore the rude behavior from these classmates and say boys will be boys. i am sick of the discrimination. we need to make a change. hopefully this petition will help the school to realize how much of an issue this is. they don’t say anything or do anything because it doesn’t affect them. trans students get in trouble for going in their CORRECT RESTROOMS and get in trouble but cishet students bully and harass lgbt students and get no punishment. please help my queer classmates in making this change. it’s really hard for students to find motivation to keep going to school and keeping their grades up when everyday that they are here they get mocked and harassed. it’s like a living hell. i personally haven’t experienced intense bullying but i know of classmates and friends that have. this school also ignore ableism and racism and the worse part is that they pretend like they don’t ignore all these issues. they put themselves out as a nice and non controversial school but these are all mere lies as i stated before. please help us by signing this petition :).
