Based in Fife, Scotland there is a small local dark and dingy pet shop which contains an abundance of horrors. They have been running for a long time and sadly have not changed with the times regarding animal welfare, care and husbandry. Their name, Pets Pantry Anstruther.

Rabbits and guinea pigs are stacked in tiny, filthy cages, unable to move and are constantly bred from, forced to pop out more babies to sell for the shop. The animals here live a sad existence, pumped up on muesli and bred for money. The owner of Fife Rabbit Rescue which ran for 8 years, said in a statement that she received an abundance of poorly rabbits into her rescue who had been bought from this pet shop. Sadly it continues to go on with no repercussions. People have tried to go in and complain, but they use their "25 years of experience" as a reason and excuse to continue this horrific ordeal.

The shop also offers holiday boarding, if you fancy placing your beloved fur babies into a tiny dirty cage stacked beside the other unvaccinated animals in the shop.

They also breed the birds, hamsters, anything that moves really. All to sell for profit along with their products.

We want to see an end to this once and for all and for the shop to only be selling products, not living creatures. We especially want to see them stop selling rabbits and Guinea pigs, get rid of the cages and stop breeding these helpless creatures and adding to the problem that rescues are facing.
