Thank you to all those who supported this petition. I have been able to follow suggestions from the views expressed and was able to use the travel bank credits finally after this past summer (feeling safer since the pandemic). That said, I still believe WestJet held people's money hostage and should have offered full refunds instead of travel bank credit that expires. They stopped offering extensions without payment to extend and for this reason I will never fly WestJet again. I do not trust their business model. They had an opportunity to take a government subsidy and offer their customers full refunds (just like Air Canada did) but instead decided to keep people's money. I will say this one last time, and close this petition; It was simply corporate greed and wrong to not offer full refunds to customers affected by the pandemic early days.
