Use Biodegradable Cutlery - Stop Mcdonalds from giving out Plastic Utensils
The Issue
Being the one of the largest fast-food chains in Hong Kong, Mcdonalds is the highest contributors of single-use disposable plastic utensils in Hong Kong, with an astonishing amount of 216 million pieces of plastic utensils being used per year. All the plastic cutlery ends up in the sea via Hong Kong’s Shing Mun River every year, which harms marine life in the Ocean by releasing microplastics. #ImNotLovinItHK provides a solution of using single-use biodegradable wooden utensils are ideal because after it gets disposed, it will naturally decompose within 80 days as opposed to the 1000 years for single-use plastic cutlery. In order to achieve this goal we hope that you could sign this petition to persuade Mcdonalds. Please share this petition to your friends and family to help save our environment!
