Il problema
I speak, as Ambassador of Peace, on behalf of all pacifist movements (NGOs), my Association #RRM3 - Renaissance Renaissance - Millennium III, and above all on behalf of men of goodwill. My appeal is addressed to the power of the Earth, to European rulers, to ordinary citizens.
The world speaks only one voice: that of Peace, the same as our Pope Francis. We appeal to it confident that the power of the earth will pave the way for diplomacy. The European Union is a beacon of peace born from the ashes of the Second World War and we are witnesses of these times it is up to us to become actors in European affairs and leave room only for diplomacy. Weapons are tools of death and any pretext could become an unstoppable escalation. What are we waiting for citizens of Europe and the world? Let's make our voices heard! Each war triggered only generates a death spiral. We, therefore, ask Biden's America and Putin's Russia to abandon all belligerent ideas and to tackle the crisis in Ukraine with a negotiating spirit.
Sitting peacefully around a table is the only way to resolve any dispute.
We Europeans must be the main protagonists and persuade the belligerent souls to desist. If we did not do it, we would become part of the group of cowardly people of Dante's memory. A day without appeal has come to remind us that being a human means resolving disputes and not taking up a weapon to kill. The spirit of tolerance is that of the great leaders who made history in the past. Let our politicians be the arbiters of reason and not of the Apocalypse!

The Ventotène Manifesto, with its original title "For a free and united Europe". Project of a Manifest is a document for the promotion of European unity written by Altiero Spinelli and Ernesto Rossi in 1941 during the period of confinement at the island of Ventotene, in the Tyrrhenian Sea, to then be published by Eugenio Colorni, who he personally wrote the preface.
It is now considered one of the founding texts of the European Union.

Parlo, come Ambasciatrice di Pace, a nome di tutti i movimenti pacifisti (ONG), a nome della mia Associazione #RRM3 - Rinascimento Renaissance - Millennium III e soprattutto a nome degli uomini di buona volontà.
Il mio appello è rivolto ai potenti della Terra, ai governanti europei, ai comuni cittadini. Il mondo parla una sola voce: quella della Pace, la stessa del nostro Papa Francesco. Ad essa ci appelliamo fiduciosi che i potenti della terra aprano la strada alla diplomazia. L'Unione europea è un faro di pace sorto sulle ceneri della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e noi siamo testimoni di questi tempi e sta a noi diventare attori delle vicende europee e lasciare spazio solo alla diplomazia. Le armi sono strumenti di morte ed ogni pretesto potrebbe diventare un'inarrestabile escalation. Cosa aspettiamo, cittadini di Europa e del mondo? Facciamo sentire alta la nostra voce! Ogni guerra innescata genera solo una spirale di morte.
Chiediamo dunque all'America di Biden ed alla Russia di Putin di abbandonare ogni idea belligerante e di affrontare con spirito negoziale la crisi dell'Ucraina.
Sedersi serenamente attorno ad un tavolo è l'unico sistema per risolvere ogni controversia. Noi europei dobbiamo essere i protagonisti principali e convincere gli animi belligeranti a desistere. Se non lo facessimo, entreremmo a far parte della schiera degli ignavi di dantesca memoria. Un giorno senza appello è arrivato per ricordarci che essere uomini significa risolvere le dispute e non imbracciare un'arma per uccidere. Lo spirito di tolleranza è quello dei grandi leader che hanno fatto la storia del passato. Siano i nostri politici arbitri della ragione e non dell'Apocalisse!
