arrest the officers who killed angelo quinto

The Issue

angelo quinto was a 30 year old flipino-american man from antioch, california. he was having a mental health crisis and his family called 9/11 for just that. when the police arrived, he was in his mother’s arms but the police grabbed and handcuffed him, and knelt on his neck. “please don’t kill me” were his last words

his family already said that they were planning to file a legal claim against the antioch police department on thursday, following his death on december 23rd, 2020. he was left unconscious and bloody. his mother said “i was there. i was watching them. i trusted them. i thought they knew what they were doing”

the antioch police have released no statement other than lt. john fortner saying the investigation is “ongoing”. the autopsy is still pending but we all know that police are NOT trained to handle mental health crises, and they shouldn’t be ones dealing with them
