Currently these are the initiatives in place from Labor government.

NSW Labor's commitment to keep victim-survivors of abuse safe.

NSW Labor has announced a suite of measures that it will introduce in government in this area and will investigate additional measures once in a position to do so.

NSW Labor will:
- Provide an additional $923,000 a year to the NSW Sexual Violence Helpline to ensure they continue to provide critical 24/7 state-wide specialist counselling services.
- Double funding for Women's Health Centres over five years. WHCs are a front-line support service for women in domestic violence situations, and during their recovery.
- Partner with Settlement Services International to establish a new multicultural domestic and family violence centre in South West Sydney to recognise the need for specialised services in multicultural communities.
- Offer five year funding contracts for the vital on the ground services supporting domestic violence victim-survivors, to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Classify domestic violence victim-survivors as first home buyers, even if they have already owned property with an ex-partner.

As it seems so far it has been very slow on getting replies. I will continue to email politicians but it sometimes takes months to get a response or I get none at all. At election time it was fast replies and instant meetings.

DV is a nation wide fight and I will continue to email and try my best in order to get a response. But at this stage it's looking like it's not priority for the Government. Which is really disheartening.

I always try to stay positive and the above does show some of the governments initiatives. Above Labor initiatives and Liberals Right to Ask Scheme initiatives in previous petition updates.

But as I have said in my emails to politicians it is better to be PROACTIVE than REACTIVE.
