Our children are entrusted to the staff and administrators of Memorial School. As parents and as a community, we must have confidence that decisions made by the school board reflect the best interests of our children. However, without complete transparency regarding academic information and funding allocations, we cannot be sure that our children’s needs are being met.

The South Hackensack community of parents deserves to know how the school board’s decisions impact the future of our children’s education and impacts the environment in which they receive said education. Additionally, the community has a right to understand how financial resources are utilized to support the educational environment.

However, one of our greatest concerns is the decision to release Vice Principal Zahn- who has shown nothing but dedication and innovation for South Hackensack Memorial School; would be a significant loss and it should be rescinded.

We urge the South Hackensack School Board to prioritize reconsidering Ms. Zahn’s termination, as well as displaying transparency by openly sharing academic data, the distribution and use of financial resources and openly sharing ideas/ plans that make an impact on our children’s academic future.
