Alexis M Badger aka Aundria M Bowman, adopted name, a loving and vibrant 14 y.o. was intentionally murdered by her adopter Dennis Lee Bowman. This heartbreaking incident is personal to me, Cathy Terkanian, her biological mother, and many others who cared about her.

The circumstances surrounding her adoption, we believe, require a critical reassessment. Given the disturbing findings that surround her disappearance and the subsequent discovery of her remains in 2020, buried in the backyard of Dennis and Brenda Joy Bowman for 30 plus years, it is reasonable to ask her adoption be annulled. 

The senseless murder of Alexis forces us to rethink how adoptions are managed and monitored. We owe her and ourselves the truth about what led to her tragic demise.
