There are an over abundance of Houston based artist's that have day's but none are more important to Houston's rap culture than June 27th. (Big Demo's birthday) This unofficial holiday came about June 27th 1996 when Houston Legend Dj Screw dropped a mixtape entitled June 27th for a close friend Demo Sherman. The tape itself was one of the highest grossing "screw tapes" today and is well recited by Houston hip-hop fans, it has also gained national notoriaty by mainstream artists such as Drake. I think that this day deserves to be recognized and Big Demo ought to have a day to himself beings that its already celebrated yearly. We need to make this official.
