Your neighbour is legally allowed to position their CCTV wherever they like.  Therefore, they can legally view your backyard in Queensland.  It is only illegal, if they are pointed at a bathroom, pool area or an area where you might be changing clothing. This takes away your right to enjoy the peaceful privacy of your home and backyard.  It is un-Australian without your mutual consent.

Please sign this petition to lobby for a change to the law.  Owners of CCTV should only have the right to position their CCTV, so it can capture images of public areas i.e. footpaths, roads, walkways and/or their own home, yard or business.  Thus, enabling them to protect their family, home and other assets; but not provide them the opportunity to invade your privacy.
