Hi, this is your friend doing engineering in one of the Anna University affiliated colleges. The entire world is shutting schools and colleges for now, because of this pandemic. Here comes our brave Anna University, asking us to do our end semester exams now. I don't want to die, neither anyone wills to. I am working with a news channel / media on this issue. Most of us are not doing our engineering in our native, we are scattered everywhere. We have to travel hundreds of miles to appear for our exams, not a good choice to do in this pandemic situation. Even if Anna University plans to do it online, firstly Anna University will fail to provide a proper server for this. Lakhs of students will be accessing the portal, creating a big traffic in the web. Secondly, not all of us are having proper internet access, we live in rural areas too. Last week a school girl from Kerala took her own life just because she could not join the online classes. We don't want this Anna University to play with half information and misinformation anymore. Let's end this. Just hashtags like #cancelAUexams will never help us. #AUfails actually. Apart from tweets and hashtags, we must make our voices be heard through a proper system.
