We, the community of Anna Maria College, seek recognition and due process from the board of trustees to acknowledge the detrimental impacts the “sunset” of the AMC music department has caused. We ask that the board of trustees throughly review our concerns and allow the class of 2025 to finish their degrees in music at AMC. 

The future of music, careers, and overall academics is being terminated by administrators whose decision did not include a single faculty member of the music department. Many of the junior and senior students have been notified that they will be graduating as scheduled however, the sophomore class has not received this option. The class of 2025 AMC students have been informed that they will not receive further music education at AMC. This significantly affects the livelihood and pursuit of higher education that the class of 2025 has put in since starting in August of 2021.
