Dear All,

Thank you again for your support! We now have over 650 signatures.

At Wednesday's Board of Education meeting, we voiced our collective request that AAPS test all drinking water sources for lead contamination.

Unfortunately, AAPS has not agreed to our request.

By continuing to test only a portion of its drinking water sources, AAPS is out of step with the recommendations of the EPA, the MDEQ, and actions taken by other school districts across the country.

In the meantime, AAPS has not yet provided an immediate solution to ensure that every student has access to safe drinking water at school. One hydration station per school is inadequate.

We need to demand that all AAPS drinking water sources are tested and that students have immediate access to safe drinking water at school.

Board of Education elections are next month, and the trustees need to hear from community members that testing all sources of drinking water and providing immediate access to safe drinking water should be their highest priority.

The Board can be emailed at: boardofed@a2schools.org.

Thank you so much in advance for reaching out and voicing your concerns.

Very best,

Abby
