Stop Green Land Forty Acres Field being destroyed by 300 Houses

Plans have emerged to build three hundred houses on Forty Acres field, a beloved site for those simply going for a walk, dog owners and families due to the footpath that runs across it. This is a green site and to have it built over would have a negative impact on the environment and the community. It would destroy habitats for a wide variety of wildlife and crush the ecosystem of the field, and create more air pollution as the plants which can help against air pollution would be built over but the houses themselves would need energy constantly so the burning of fuels to generate this creates even more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. The average new household has a carbon footprint of eighty tonnes a year (source-Guardian), this multiplied by three hundred is a significant increase in air pollution in the area. This itself would have a negative impact on the community as it could lead to an increase in respiratory issues like asthma. The impact that it would have on the community would be devastating to those of us who have used this field for many years and have many fond memories of it.
In short, the plans to build on this land cannot go ahead for the good of the environment and the community- please sign and share.
