Since Netflix's Skull Island is such an underrated animated series and also takes place during 1990s in the MonsterVerse timeline, but sadly, the series was planned to make a second season but it was cancelled after one season. However in March 2025, it was announced that the storyline of Skull Island would continue in the Return to Skull Island comic book miniseries that was released in July 2025. So it would be fair if Netflix decides to animate Return to Skull Island comics into season 2 so we can finish the unresolved story plot.
