The Issue

After the horrific case of Bhadra, a stray dog who was thrown from a building by young medical students, there comes another shocking video from Hyderabad where young boys are seen burning small puppies to death. The young boys are seen in the video enjoying the pain of crying puppies and are seen pushing them into the fire when they try to come out. This is not only extremely disturbing to watch but points to a larger issue which people usually avoid. These young boys have a sadistic approach to life and for sure have dangerous violent streak in them which is harmful for the society at large. People who inflict pain on animals, and enjoy to see our fellow beings in pain, speaks in volume about their unstable mental condition. Any human who can enjoy inflicting pain on innocent soul is harmful for our society in every way. Poor animal cruelty Acts, gives an edge to such offenders who can get away by giving a mere fee. This has to be checked and people involved in such criminal activities must not be bailed away on mere fine. There has to be a strict penalty, and this offence must be a non-bailable offence to enforce stricter laws. I urge all of you to sign this petition and urge the government and the animal welfare board of India to kindly look into this matter and ensure stricter amendments to the obsolete Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960. Thanking you for time.
