ALARMING SITUATION FOR HIT & RUN CASES of STRAY ANIMALS - Implement strict laws against those who hit stray dogs and drive off without stopping & not taking any action to help them. Please give animals’ equal rights and help us to save their lives.
The Issue
The state of many stray dogs and other animals in several regions of India are at a very crucial stage. These animals are treated in worst ways by the local councils. These stray dogs are kicked, stabbed and also left without any treatment and are left unfed for days. Even small puppies are at eaten by bigger dogs when hunger gets on to them. This is certainly not the way to treat stray animals.
My heart cries with pain whenever I see such abandoned animals are hit, and are left to die and no one takes time to even try and take them to a vet. This law will certainly help to save lives of many animals and let them live in a terror free environment.
Who so ever hits the animal should be held legally responsible to take it to a vet. They should be punished in order to understand the severity of the crime. Animals do have right to live and no one can take this right from them.
The abuse against stray dogs has to be stopped and this can only happen with strict action taken against those who harm them. The long term solution to stop such instances is to form strict laws to punish those who are involved in hit and run of stray animals.
We request Animal Welfare Board of India to support, as alone we will not be able to stop this cruelty.
