The BCSPCA has provided a Written Submission to the BC Rental Housing Taskforce requesting that the BC Residential Tenancy Act be amended to allow for pets in all rentals. 

Other provinces already make it illegal for landlords to charge extra monies for pets or refuse a tenant because of pet ownership. 

Tell the government you want the law changed to keep pets with their families and to save the lives of pets who are abandoned because pet owners could not find housing within their budget.

Let's go further than the BCSPCA submission and demand the clauses about insurance and additional deposits be dropped from the Submission.  Ontario doesn't require any of these things and why should BC residents make American insurance companies richer?
