We need a bigger shelter for the homeless animals that get brought into the shelter that have been abandoned by their owners and who do not claim them. The very animals that get dumped in our city in on our streets that only want love and affection. The same animals who are forced to have their lives taken because there is no room at the shelter and no Foster programs available for people who are willing to take in these missing and lost pets. We also need more help for Miss Taylor who is doing everything by herself with the help of a couple volunteers but is not enough. There should be an on-call Animal control officer so when an animal is found after hours they can be brought into somewhere where it's warm and not left outside in an animal drop off. There are times when nothing can be done because there is no Animal control officer on the weekends. These animals need our help. We need to hold these owners responsible for abandoning their pets or not updating their information so the owners can be located when there is a missing or Lost Pet.
