Do you love cafes? Do you love cats? So do I. There are cat cafes all around the world, but none anywhere near Portland, ME. There are many small coffee shops and cafes all throughout Portland, so why not make one of those a cat cafe? My goal is to have the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland team up with local coffee shops by placing cats in a few of these cafes. There will be no new cafes needed, and it will be a great opportunity to let shelter cats socialize with customers. For those who do not know what a cat cafe is, it is just like it sounds: a cafe with cats. Cats are able to roam around inside the shop, and it is a great way for them to get out of the shelter and possibly get adopted as well! In these cafes, all cats are up for adoption, and if people are interested in adopting, the cat cafes are a great way for them to meet and socialize with the cats. Many cats have been in the shelter for years, and are looking for a forever home. Help today by signing this petition to work towards creating cat cafes in portland!
