Save puppies from a life of suffering
Save puppies from a life of suffering
The Issue
It makes me sick that places that are supposed to do good for animals do the direct opposite. Pick of the litter in Strongsville mall in Ohio is said to rescue there animals with the intent on selling them to happy homes however they get there dogs from puppy mills that are not shut down but are still a running business. This is just one issue of the whole matter. Puppy mills are not “a cheep way to get puppies” they are harmful places that put the dogs in small crates and shove multiple dogs in one with no room to move and they lay there in their own filth catching disease that can kill them, all because the runners of puppy mills (i will not say the direct type of people to prevent too much confrontation) want to make a quick buck. This pick of the litter helps the mills to thrive and get more money in order to continue torturing these poor animals and then discarding them like an old piece of clothing when they no longer have use for them! Pick of the litter also is suspected of drugging there animals to make them sleep. Ever walk by and see that they all are asleep at the same time? Yeah thats not normal. When the owners of this establishment were questioned they always cover it up or try to make what is happening ethical and it in no way is ethical! According to the Animal Protective League they went in and found 13 animals wrapped in plastic and thrown in the freezer because they were dead, 5 cats, 4 dogs, 3 rabbits and 1 guinea pig. 3 of the animals had blood surrounding there mouths and nose, this is cause to believe it was in no way a natural death by human natural standards. One dog was also found in the freezer with puncture wounds to the head and neck. I have refused to walk into this establishment because it gave me an uneasy feeling and i in no way trusted this place from the get go. The 2 people who work there never seem to care for the animals I have even witnessed the man that worked there violently grab one of the dogs because it was barking. This is NOT a safe place and needes to be shut down accordingly. It is not safe for ANY of the animals that are placed here. They get sicker and die because they are not properly cared for. They live in small boxes with wood chips so the company can house the ample amount of animals. Being an vocal animal lover i can not stand by and watch the mistreatment of animals go un seen. Its time to speak up and its time to get places like this and puppy mills shut down to prevent suffering to those that we say are our best friends. If it was the other way around and we were where the dogs are now wouldn’t you want someone to save you too?
