STOP the poaching of tigers

The Issue

In the 1990s there were about 100,000 tigers in the wild. Today, this number has dropped by 96.8%. The main cause of this is poaching. Tigers are killed each year for their fur, meat, and bones. The bones are thought to have medical value even though there is no evidence of that. The second main reason why these beautiful animals are going endangered is from habitat loss due to logging, cutting down of the trees, and other ways of destroying the forest. Poachers will also set up painful traps to catch these magnificent creatures. These traps close down on their paws, causing immense pain and severe injuries. Other animals get caught in these as well.
