Hi, my name is chloe and I want to help save the sumatran elephants. Ever since i was little I've been in love with elephants! They're these massive mammals that roam the face of the Earth. Knowing that a part of them are going extinct breaks my heart. 

"The conflict between humans and critically endangered Sumatran elephants in Indonesia has been going on for decades, with the elephants on the losing end of the battle. The villagers and farmers don't kill them for food. They do it to keep their homes and crops safe. The grim result is the killing combined with shrinking elephant habitat contributes to an 80% population loss since the 1930s, according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species." Says CNN in their article.

Sumatran elephants feed on a variety of plants and deposit seeds wherever they go, contributing to a healthy forest ecosystem. They are suffering from deforestation and it's destroying their habitat.
