The puppy bowl was created ten years ago to create awareness about pet adoption. Since that time, it has become hugely popular, and the dogs featured every year are adopted before the show even airs. There are a growing number of "special needs" pets in shelters - pets with less than 4 legs, blind or deaf pets, or pets with neurological disorders. These pets need forever homes as well, but are often passed over for more "desirable" pets. I would like Animal Planet to include these special pets in the next Puppy Bowl to show everyone that these pets can be just as loving, playful, and loyal as other pets.
