The first season of “Wolves & Warriors” premiered on Animal Planet in 2018. It highlighted the bond between man and animal, veteran and wolf, as they healed each other through shared trauma. This show brought attention to the work being done at Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in Lockwood, CA - where Matt Simmons and Dr. Lorin Lindner heal wounded veterans and rescued wolves. Their WolfGuard team also embarks on missions throughout the country to protect wolves from poachers and bring justice to those who abuse and murder animals.

With the airing of “Tiger King,” the viewing audience has been able to get a glimpse of what life is like for animals in captivity, but that’s not the true story of the animals. An Animal Planet special, “Surviving Joe Exotic” takes footage from the Wolves & Warriors team to tell the story of the animals, the story that viewers did not actually get to see.

Bring back “Wolves & Warriors” for a second season so viewers can see what is actually happening in the rescue community, for animals and humans. See the developments at Lockwood Animal Rescue Center, meet the newest members of the wolf and veteran family, and see how the continued work and dedication of the Lockwood team is changing lives - both human and animal.
