Biscuit was rescued from the dog meat trade in the Philippines after suffering horrifying violence. By the time an AWIP-supported frontline rescuer reached him, he had reportedly been bashed over the head so brutally that one of his eyes was left dangerously bulging.
It is heartbreaking to think of Biscuit trapped in the dog meat trade — terrified, vulnerable, and then beaten with such force that his eye was left visibly damaged. No dog should ever be treated like this. No dog should be trafficked, abused, and left in agony as though his life means nothing.
Biscuit now urgently needs specialist veterinary care to try to save his eye and relieve his pain. But justice matters too. Whoever did this to him should not be allowed to walk away without consequences.
Animal abusers must know that brutal violence against dogs will not be tolerated. We believe the person responsible for Biscuit’s suffering should face the maximum jail sentence.
