Friend,
Yesterday, many people signed our petition calling for the immediate closure of a newly identified roadside dog slaughterhouse in the Philippines.
But shutting the doors of this operation is not enough.
Our investigators have uncovered a trader who is believed to be slaughtering up to two dogs every single day — more than 700 dogs every year in one brutal and illegal operation.
Honestly, Friend? The cruelty inside this slaughterhouse is horrific. Terrified dogs are dragged inside and violently killed for meat. Some are believed to be stolen pets taken from the streets or outside homes. Others are terrified strays who never had anyone to protect them.
Witnesses say the dogs are barbarically chopped apart and even blowtorched during processing. These are living animals who feel fear, pain, and suffering — yet they are treated as nothing more than commodities in the illegal dog-meat trade.
If the people responsible are not held accountable, the cruelty will simply continue somewhere else. Those who profit from this suffering must not be allowed to walk away without consequences.
We are calling on the authorities to take immediate action: investigate this operation fully, arrest those responsible for running this slaughterhouse, and ensure they face the full force of the law.
