Friend,
Greg asked me to write to you.
He’s overwhelmed by the outpouring of support since we launched Mira’s petition. Truly. So many of you signed. So many of you shared. And many of you have already donated.
But the truth is… it’s not enough.
And as of tonight — the appeal is closing.
Mira is still at the vet. Her wound is being treated daily. Her pain is being managed as best as possible.
But the bullet that tore through her head nearly destroyed her eye — and the vets still don’t know if they can save it.
They found maggots deep inside her skull. Alive. Crawling dangerously close to her brain.
Greg was one of the first people to hear about her case. He works closely with the woman who rushed Mira to the vet — a local rescuer we support in the Philippines.
And that woman? She has nothing left.
No grant. No shelter budget. No team. Just Mira. A puppy in her care, and a growing vet bill she can’t afford to pay.
That’s why we launched this appeal. That’s why Greg asked me to write to you now.
Because the only thing standing between Mira and proper treatment… is money.
Will you rush an urgent gift right now for Mira, Friend?
Mira was shot. Left to suffer. But she didn’t give up. She fought to stay alive.
And so did the rescuer who found her. She didn’t walk away — even when she knew she couldn’t afford it.
Please don’t walk away either, Friend.
Whether it’s £15 or £150, your gift could mean the difference between hope and heartbreak. For Mira. For her rescuer. For all of us at AWIP who are trying to hold the line.
Thank you for standing with us. And, if you can, for giving before the clock runs out.
For Mira,
Jacob Lloyd

P.S. Greg sends his gratitude. He’s too exhausted to write today, but he wanted me to say this: “Thank you for standing with us. Please don’t let Mira down." Donate before midnight »
