To Everyone Who Believes Animals Deserve Better!

Every day across Nepal, countless animals are subjected to horrific cruelty during live transportation. From overloaded trucks to unthinkable handling practices, animals are treated not as living beings, but as lifeless cargo.

From our work in the field, Animal Nepal has witnessed the suffering firsthand:
🔹 Animals with broken bones and bleeding hooves
🔹 Crammed into overcrowded vehicles without food, water, or rest
🔹 Forced to travel for hours—or even days—through harsh conditions
🔹 Standing in their own waste, many arrive severely injured or already dead

This is not transportation. This is torment. And it must end.

We’ve seen buffaloes tied tightly by their noses and tails, struggling in pain.
We've seen goats stuffed into the luggage compartments of buses or even strapped to the roof of moving vehicles. We've seen chickens hung upside down on motorcycles, swinging in fear and agony as they’re driven to slaughter. These are not isolated incidents. This is the daily reality for thousands of animals in Nepal.

That’s why Animal Nepal is launching this urgent campaign to bring live animal transport cruelty to an end. But we cannot do it without your voice.

Sign this petition to demand the Government of Nepal take immediate action:
🚫 Ban long-distance live animal transport for slaughter
🐾 Implement regulations that protect animals during transit, including limits on duration, mandatory access to water, rest, food and proper ventilation
🎓 Require training and licensing for all animal transporters and handlers
⚖️ Enforce existing laws and introduce penalties for those who violate them

Animals deserve compassion, even in their final journey. What’s happening now is a national disgrace—but together, we can change it.

जनावरहरूलाई माया गर्नुपर्ने विश्वास राख्ने सबैमा!

नेपालमा हरेक दिन हजारौं जनावरहरू जीवितै यातायातको क्रममा अमानवीय व्यवहार सहन बाध्य छन्। ओभरलोड गरिएका सवारीसाधनहरूमा जनावरहरूलाई बिना खाना, पानी, आराम र स्याहार, निकै कठोर अवस्थाहरूमा घण्टौं–दिनौंसम्म लादिन्छ।

एनिमल नेपालको फिल्ड अनुभवबाट हामीले देखेका छौं: 
🔹 हड्डी भाँचिएका, खुरबाट रगत बगिरहेका जनावरहरू
🔹 साँघुरा गाडीहरूमा एक–अर्कामाथि कोचिएका
🔹 तातो घाम, चिसो हावा र खराब सडकबाट लामो यात्रा गराइएका
🔹 पानी र खाना नपाएर थकित, घाइते, वा मरेर गन्तव्यमा पुगेका जनावरहरू

यो यातायात होइन — यो त खुला यातना हो।

हामीले देखेका दृश्यहरू कहालीलाग्दा छन्:
— राँगा–भैंसीहरूलाई नाक र पुच्छर बाँधेर तानिएको पीडा
— बाख्राहरूलाई बसको सामान राख्ने भागमा वा छानामै बाँधिएको अवस्था
— कुखुराहरूलाई मोटरसाइकलमा उल्टो झुण्ड्याएर, तर्सिएर झुम्मिइरहेको दृश्य

यी कुनै अपवाद होइनन् — यो हरेक दिन हजारौं जनावरहरूको यथार्थ हो।

त्यसैले एनिमल नेपालले यो क्रूर अभ्यास रोक्न सरकारसमक्ष याचिका प्रस्तुत गर्दैछ।
तर तपाईंकै साथ र आवाज बिना यो सम्भव छैन।

हामी सरकारसँग यी मागहरू राख्दैछौं:
🚫 वधका लागि लामो दूरीको जीवित जनावरको यातायातमा प्रतिबन्ध लगाइयोस्
🐾 सवारीका क्रममा जनावरका लागि अनिवार्य व्यवस्था गरियोस् — खाना, पानी, हावा, आराम, र यात्रा समयको सिमा
🎓 जनावर ढुवानी गर्ने चालक र ह्यान्डलरहरूको तालिम र लाइसेन्स अनिवार्य गरियोस्
⚖️ कानून उल्लंघन गर्नेहरूलाई कडा कारबाही गरियोस्

जनावरहरूको अन्तिम यात्रा पनि सहानुभूति र सम्मानयुक्त हुनुपर्छ।
यो क्रूरता हाम्रो देशको लज्जास्पद अवस्था हो—तर हामी मिलेर परिवर्तन ल्याउन सक्छौं।

हामीले बोल्यौं भने, परिवर्तन सम्भव छ।
हामी चुप बस्यौं भने, यो हिंसा यस्तै चलिरहन्छ।

नेपाललाई जनावर कल्याणको क्षेत्रको उदाहरणीय देश बनाऔं।
