Ok so I find it pretty insulting that we live in a world who aims for equality but looks at animals as an object. I love Canada for the free health care but when will our pets get free health care? I think if we all come together and fight for this we can get it. Why should we have to pay an arm and a leg for a simple vet procedure? If you are like me you look at your dogs as a family member and would do anything to keep them healthy.

I wanted pet insurance but when I looked at the prices I was looking at it as it was insurance for my car? I don't think an average person can afford the monthly costs for pet insurance. I am not asking for medications to be covered but I am asking for annual vet visits/ vaccines and emergency visits to be covered by OUR health care. Just because we talk and they don't that makes us so different? Why is it that a simple ultrasound for our fur babies is over $400 and a simple blood test is $150? I get a blood test whenever I feel a little off and I do not think that is fair just because I am a human I am more "special"? I suffer from anxiety and depression and my dog has been right next to be through it all. She is basically my therapy dog. If I lose her because I could not afford vet procedures I will lose myself. 

Let's all come together and fight for our babies to get the health care they deserve. I see too many neglected dogs out there that can't get treated due to the high costs of a vet visit. Please sign this petition and let's make a change!
