Stop Shelter Neglect - Remove Tim Eubanks as Chesterfield County, SC Shelter Administrator

The Issue

In 2011, the Chesterfield County, SC shelter was investigated for shooting dogs. After much investigation, shelter staff was fired and reform created. Fast forward to 2020. After reports of neglect of several animals by shelter volunteers, the volunteers were banned from the shelter. The city administrator, Tim Eubanks, refuses to address or remedy neglect. The animals have no food, medical care, and are neglected. Rescues are no  longer allowed to pull animals or even see them. Animal control repeatedly ignores animal abuse complaints in the county. Any shelter staff that tries to help the animals is fired. On Friday, the interim shelter director let our 501c3 rescue pulls 9 cats and kittens that had been in the shelter. She was fired this morning. Tim Eubanks reports to the city council and has the authority to do whatever he wants. He has no one holding him accountable. Meanwhile the animals suffer. On Friday, 9/14, we were told that there was not enough food for the animals. Since we have been kicked out and the new director fired, these animals will most likely starve to death in cages with no one caring. We MUST remove Tim Eubanks as the county administrator and get someone appointed that cares about both the people and animals in Chesterfield County, SC.
