DO NOT GIVE BACK PARENTS AND PUPPIES

The Issue

Last month the Humane Law Enforcement Officer for Cherry Hill New Jersey confiscated a mother, father and 8 puppies being held in a shed in a backyard of a New Jersey home.  It was below freezing, the shed leaked, three of the puppies had parvo, the puppies had giardia, worms, were anemic, malnurished, had improper shelter, etc etc.  The list goes on and on.  The HLEO officer had given a warning to the owner Rilind Duka who ignored the warning and allowed the parents and the puppies to remain outside in conditions that were less that adequate for the dogs and puppies.  25 summonses were issued.

Next Wednesday, the incident goes to trial in Cherry Hill.  The owner claims to love his puppies, but is a backyard breeder who does not allow the dogs in the house because of personal reasons and has told the HLEO that the dogs will never be allowed in the house.  He claims they are for "family members" but was charging $1500.00 per dog on Facebook before they were confiscated.  These dogs need to go to homes where they will be treated with the love and respect that they deserve.

We are asking everyone to please sign the petition so that it can be presented to the prosecutor so that he understands that the Animal Advocates in this State will no longer except the minimal sentences and returning of the dogs to their original owners.
