The stray animal population in Vigo County is out of control! Animal control is advising people to leave stray animals on the streets because our shelters and rescues are so full. Terre Haute only has one humane society and West Terre Haute doesn’t have any! Rescues help out where they can, but animal control needs somewhere safe and reliable that they can take animals 24/7. This petition is to open up a Vigo County Humane Shelter and to encourage animal control to be available 24/7 with adequate funding.
