I am a single mother of 2 boys. Our family dog, my best friend was shot and killed by my neighbor.  
I live in the country and my dog was my protection dog and best friend. Beck went everywhere with me.  
I let her out around 6:30 pm on 2/3/22 to go potty.  He apparently sped by when I had let her out. She was outside no more than 5 minutes,  She chased his car and followed him home. When he pulled in his driveway he shot her point blank in her head.  I heard the gunshot and ran over.  He had thrown her body in the back of his truck and was taking her to dump her body.

The police were called and charges were filed. It is against the law to shoot a dog in Texas, unless you are in fear of your life or they were directly attacking your livestock.   He admitted he was not in fear of his life and he had no livestock.   
I would like to see justice brought to him to the fullest extent of the law. 
We lost a beloved family member for no reason. An example needs to be set for deliberate animal cruelty, so this does not happen to anyone else.
