Save Kano’s headstone kerbset from being removed by Angus council
The Issue
Christmas Day 2019 i delivered my baby boy still born at 35 weeks, Kano sean Crichton
after 11 months of saving and trying to get his headstone etc made because of delays due to covid etc we finally managed to get it sorted, only for the council to kick up a fuss about sizing etc putting me through so much unnecessary stress while I was heavily pregnant with Kano’s little brother Tatum, I got this all cleared by taking it to my local MP and they managed to get it sorted for me and my family! The stone was put up along with the kerbset
following on a couple of months later… I receive a letter 4 weeks after giving birth by section to my son Tatum at 35 weeks, the letter stated that his kerbset didn’t fall into their rules and regulations, I was NEVER made aware there was any rules when I bought the plot so I obviously just went ahead and ordered what I wanted for him. Since the stone was erected in the cemetery for Kano they’ve point blank refused to cut the grass around or even close to his plot making the whole area near him look untidy! Baring in mind we paid for them to cut the grass etc when we bought the plot! Angus council are now giving us 30 days to remove his kerbset or they will, I cannot even begin to explain the heartache and stress this will bring to me and my wee family! Our boy deserves to rest in peace he’s just a baby! If everyone could please sign this I’d be forever in your debt! I’ve seeked legal advice from my solicitor as I feel it’s becoming more personal than anything else! Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story! Please sign and share ❤️
