1. The barber aggression of Russia in Ukraine urges an answer of the entrepreneurial international community to act together in favor of Ukrainian entrepreneurs to defend, protect, and support the free entrepreneurial spirit proper of modern democracies.

2. Startups and young entrepreneurial leaders face dramatic challenges during periods of war, including the difficulty of keeping their business going, maintaining clients and customers, accessing funding, or just keeping their workforce challenged by war obligations and contingencies in extremely unfavorable circumstances.

3. Business angels and the global entrepreneurial community can significantly contribute to stabilizing, rebuilding, and fostering Ukraine's startup ecosystem both presently and in the future.

4. Supporting Ukrainian startups is not only beneficial for the local Ukrainian economy but also for the global community. Many Ukrainian startups are working on innovative solutions worldwide in various sectors, with the potential to address global challenges and create a positive impact beyond Ukraine's borders.

5. COREangels International and other players are fully committed to contributing and using their experience to support and give structure to the “Angels for Ukraine” initiative.

6. Angels for Ukraine (mission) is an independent civil initiative, created by citizens, angels, and entrepreneurs to support the Ukrainian ecosystem and among other initiatives, create a multi-layer angel fund to invest in the most promising early-stage startups (Ukrainian or lead by Ukrainians) and fostering its international success.

7. Angels for Ukraine aims to partner with a significant number of stakeholders, including individual angels and entrepreneurs, angel networks, family offices, venture capital funds, accelerators, incubators, universities, government institutions, and others, to prepare and generate a wave of support to our entrepreneurial fellows, and to attract a relevant amount of capital for investment, providing support to the most promising Ukrainian opportunities.

8. Angels for Ukraine also aims to promote and disseminate best practices in angel investing interventions, ensuring full transparency and adhering to internationally recognized KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) standards, with the highest levels of involvement and reporting.

9. Angels for Ukraine will develop structured initiatives and events, both thematic and specific, to facilitate easy access and submission of investment proposals from Ukrainian entrepreneurs, whether inside or outside Ukraine.

10. Angels for Ukraine follows a professional investment methodology based on a systemized qualification process for investment opportunities. This process involves initial screening responsibilities, followed by assessments conducted by a multi-disciplinary panel of members, both Ukrainian and international.

11. Investment committees, held regularly over 2-3 months, base their decisions on the assessments conducted and pitches made by startup founders, always with online transmission available.

12. Members of Angels for Ukraine believe in the transformative power of the entrepreneurial spirit to effect positive change in society, advocating for the development of the entrepreneurial ethos as an essential value of free and democratic societies.
