The transgender community and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole have been experiencing so much already by merely existing. Many are bullied, abused and even persecuted for being who they truly are and loving who they love. These acts often lead individuals to suffer from mental health illness often resulting to self-harm and worse, even suicide. We believe that schools should be a safe space for everyone regardless of race, religion,sexuality, gender identity. Letting transgender people wear the uniform in accordance to what they identify as may help them feel comfortable with themselves, lessen risks of bullying and discrimination and may improve overall mental health.
