On May 4th 2021, my 23 year old little sister was sitting in a car at the BP gas station located at Walker Mill and Addison Rd in Capital Heights, MD, when shots rang out from a drive by. Her name is Phajia Elise Hutchinson. She was critically shot in broad daylight. Within a short 7 hours later, she would succumb to her injuries in the early hours of May 5th, 2021.

This ridiculous incident is one of very many that occurs weekly in this exact location. A big part of the problem is the enabling of the store owner and clerks who allows the loitering, soliciting and drug dealing in front of the store. This is a daily occurrence and there is never any law enforcement in sight unless some is gunned down. The gas station has cameras but for what purpose exactly if they aren’t changing about their location in order to create any type of decrease in the constant violence that is occurring specifically at their location almost daily.

The owners being enablers is contributing to the violence in the community and the gas station should be shut down for good unless there is constant surveillance by security or the department themselves. They need to be held responsible! We have to hit them where it hurts and simply not buying from them will NOT work!

In addition, The fact that the PD hasn’t put more attention into stopping the clear loitering violations of any establishment, especially when illegal activities are being performed right in the cameras, nearly makes them liable and enablers themselves.

Our young brothers, sisters, children, aunts, uncles; are all dying entirely to young and on a consistent basis. The entire PG, Capital Heights, District Heights, and other surrounding areas, needs a complete reform. The genocide of young black people by the hands of their own people is a disgrace and is getting more and more out of hand as the years go and it needs to end! The killers are getting younger and younger and they are killing younger and younger people. It seems as if no one is off limits anymore. They are blindly shooting and not caring who or what gets hit; what families get destroyed or what lives are altered forever. They never think twice about what if it was their mother or sister out there; or their brother or niece or nephew. Much worse, their own child. People are proving to be more and more heartless and nothing will change without Action in combination with their very own Karma. These senseless killings have to end somewhere! They are not even caring to go directly after their “target” anymore, at this point, we are ALL a Target! Let’s start by closing down one of the very locations that has been showered in the blood of many innocent lives. If they can’t get the proper security for the area they decided to open shop where they are well aware of the attention they bring, then they need to close! Simple. The community can not consistently come out of their own pocket for security for an establishment that makes more than them. It’s impossible! People just need to control themselves or control their children! #E4Phay #Justice4Phay
