Angel was killed in vein

The Issue

On April 15, 2012, a family in Hammond,IN.. mom, dad, and 4 children, one with special needs.. lost their home in a house fire. They also had 2 dogs, one of which was pregnant. On May 2nd, 2012, at 8:40 AM, mom and dad were in the garage, feeding the brand new puppies that their female dog, (3 yrs old), had just the day before..This is where they have had to temporarily store the dogs due to their living arrangements after the fire. While they were bent down feeding the pups, out of no where, a Hammond City Police Officer, came out of no where, with a 9 mm pointed at them, screaming that they needed to put their hands in the air, and to freeze. The man told the officer that he was the home owner, to please give him a second to show him his ID, and the officer continued to scream and curse at them, the sudden movement of the officer caused the mother dog to stand, and come toward the action, barking, after command of the husband, the dog turned around to go back to the corner where the puppies where, when the officer shot the dog in the back. then the officer went on radio to shout, shots fired, and gave the address.. after a bunch of officers show up, they finally after 40 minutes allow us to take the dog to the vet, which then she died because she lost too much blood.. further, the police cheif, told The Hammond Times, the officer was showing a flashlight... well, unless flashlights now have the ability to shoot a dog, I believe that was a lie.. then, he stated our dog attacked the officer and then he shot the dog in the shoulders... um.. (like i said..back).. and then had the nerve to offer us a "new dog but this one will be updated on all of it's shots".. meanwhile, the pups are dying and her mate is so depressed.. help us stop this from happening again
